Excellence Programs

Selig Sealing Products, Inc. (Selig) with manufacturing operations located in Forest, Illinois USA maintains a core of essential programs that re the impetus for excellence in every aspect of our business.

Safety & Environment Programs: Though programs such as source reduction of hazardous chemicals, emergency preparedness raining, recycling, and emission/waste mineralization, Selig continues its role as a good neighbor within the Forrest community while providing a safe working environment for our employees.  The empowerment of every Selig employee through safety, food safety, and quality teams is paramount to the continuing success of these valuable programs.

Food Safety Program: Selig has been rated as ‘Superior’ since 2003, by the American institute of Baking International (AIB) and is periodically audited both internally and externally per the AIB’s Consolidated Standard for Food-Contact Packaging Manufacturing Facilities.  Important aspects of this program include pest control management, incoming and out-going vehicle trailer inspections, master cleaning schedules, and supplier cGMP/EU compliance.  Selig also maintains domestic and international drug and food master files for its products.

Quality Management Programs: Selig’s quality policy objectives are to be the World’s leading supplier of quality products within our markets and the excel in all facets of our dedication to continuous quality improvement.  Selig’s 9001:2000 quality management system is registered (A7745) .  Important aspects of this program include documented procedures, periodic internal & external quality audits, supplier quality and food safety audits, product stewardship and customers support, metric systems for continuous improvement, product design control, complete tractability, first-in first-out inventory management, and product and raw quality assurance material testing

Facility Security: As a manufacturer of components for food/drug packaging, Selig recognizes the important responsibility of protecting our nations’ food and drug supplies.  As part of our Food Safety Program, Selig maintains security procedures that include vehicle trailer inspections, pre-employment checks, and visitor/contractor badge system with Selig employee escorts.
